These terms govern your use of this website and the free security scan. By using either, you agree to them. Paid engagements (pentests, AI security reviews, custom work) are governed by a separate signed agreement and statement of work — those documents, not this page, control that relationship.

The free scan

• Authorization is on you. You may only scan domains you own or are explicitly authorized to test. By submitting a domain you represent and warrant that you have that authority. Scanning systems without authorization may violate the law; you bear sole responsibility for the domains you submit.
• It is passive and informational. The scan performs non-intrusive checks only. Results are a surface-level snapshot, not a penetration test, and we make no warranty that they are complete or that a clean result means you are secure.
• Fair use. We rate-limit scans. Do not use the scanner to probe third parties, automate bulk scanning, or resell its output.

Acceptable use of this site

Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to this website or its APIs, scrape it at scale, or misuse the forms. If you find a security issue in our own systems, we genuinely want to hear about it — see our responsible disclosure policy.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and branding of this site belong to BrokenIntent. Scan results we generate for you are yours to use internally. Ownership of deliverables in paid engagements is defined in the engagement contract.

Disclaimers

The website and free scan are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Security testing — free or paid — can reduce risk but cannot guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities, and nothing on this site is legal or compliance advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrokenIntent is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or the free scan. Liability terms for paid engagements are set in the engagement contract.

Indemnity

If you submit a domain you were not authorized to scan, you agree to indemnify BrokenIntent against claims arising from that submission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be confirmed with counsel]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
